Hyrule Huddle Podcast: Nintendo Switch reactions, a college football classic, and Los Angeles football happenings

It was a busy week for topics we tend to follow here at The Hyrule Huddle, so we had to dig in and share some reactions to the latest news from the world of college football, the NFL and the video game world. With a classic national championship game between Clemson and Alabama (congrats, Clemson) and the news that the San Diego Chargers will be relocating to Los Angeles (and a painfully awkward execution of a new logo rollout), the football world had plenty to offer. Of course, we were also watching with great interest as Nintendo pulled back the curtain on the Nintendo Switch with a bit more clarity and information. That gave us plenty to discuss as well in a somewhat condensed nature.

Topics discussed in this episode include:

  • Clemson stunning Alabama in the College Football Playoff national championship for the ages
  • Rams hire a new head coach
  • The Chargers are coming to LA! Yay?
  • Nintendo Switch announcement reactions
    • New Zelda looks phenomenal!
    • New Mario game looks great too!
    • 32 GB storage? Yuck.
    • What’s with the third-party support?
    • Is this a Day One purchase?

  1. Pingback: Too many rehashed games on Nintendo Switch? Here’s a theory why | Hyrule Huddle

  2. As great as nintendo switch is said to be, I can’t help but see the sad reality that nintendo has to rely on gamer’s sentimentality to market their products. On the other hand, who cares? I’m just eager to try out the new Legends of Zelda.
